The Steve
Marshall Band will Rock Us
We are very psyched that Steve Marshall
will adding to the evenings festivites. Steve and his band has played at
other FunWithWine Parties, and has shown his abilities to play a wide
range of music. The pictures above are from previous FunWithWine
parties.
Still want to party after the Wine Game Party? Steve Marshall and
another band will be playing at Le Bar Bat well into the early morning
hours. As a guest of FunWithWine, you are invited to stay as long as you

The
Wine Game: Something for everyone
The wine game will feature 21
wines, at 5 separate serving stations, which will be served
Blind (wine-speak for in paper bags) for the first 2 hours. We
will reveal the wines during the last hour. Whether you love
wine, or the challenge of the game, here is what you can expect:
Table 1: Champagnes and Sparkling Wines: Taste
3 champagnes or sparkling wines. Guess the country that each
ones is from.
Table 2: World-Class White Wines from
Around the World: You will be challenged to figure
out the identity of five white wines from around the world. Be
it a Chardonnay from Australia, a sauvignon blanc from
California, or a Sancerre from France, the range of white wines
will be represented
Table 3: Go for the GOLD at our cabernet
table: FunWithWine.com group members have selected
their favorite cabernet to enter into this taste-off. Rank the
wines in the order you believe will be the consensus of the
evening.
Table 4: Reds from around the world: 5
different red wines from around the world: A Dolcetto from
Italy, Tempranillo from Spain, Grenache from Chile, and a couple
of others to satisfy your red wine fix. Your job will be to
figure out which is which.
Table 5: You say Syrah, and I say Shiraz:
Guess the origins of each of these syrah/shiraz-based wines,
selected from Australia, California, and France. These spicy
wines are perfect for the cold weather!
As the line-up shows, there is something for everyone here. Our
last wine game party, in the fall, was a resounding success, and
we expect the same for this one.
For those playing the wine game, we will have special prizes
for the top 5 entries. For those who are coming for a great
time, everything is here for you!

Our
Quintessential Italian Wine Dinner
Last week we had the good
fortune to host an amazing food and wine extravaganza at Il
Boccincino, in the heart of Greenwich Village. Gilbert Petrucci
created an amazing 6 course feast, which was matched by 10
fantastic Italian wines, and included the Carpineto Chianti
Classico 1966, the Argiano Brunello de Montelcino 1995, and the
Bertani Amarone from 1985! Many people we amazed at how well the
lineup of wines matched the food. We were very proud to host
this event. Tasting Notes will be posted on-line later this
month.
